Acanthus Keystone at 6-1/2″ w × 8″ h × 1-3/4″ d, milled from kiln-dried Poplar. Sits at the head of a door or window casing where the two legs meet — a keystone replaces the mitered joint and adds a focal point. Fits casings up to 1 3/4 x 4 1/2 - 7.

Installation

Step by Step

1

Set the Block First

Position and level the block, glue and pin it into framing.

2

Cut Runs Square

Measure to the face of the block and cut the moulding at 90°.

3

Butt & Fasten

Glue the mating edge, slide the run into the block, nail into framing.

4

Fill & Finish

Fill nail holes, sand, prime, and paint or stain with the trim.
